hi everyone

i've got this 12" iBook G4 for which i'd like to buy a new drive and some more ram. i've learned from apple.com that it can support up to 1.5gb of memory, and i'd like to ask if there's such a limit on drive capacity? i found 250gb disks on ebay, advertised to be for g4 ibook's. can those be ok?

thanx and a Happy New Year

If you go to System Profiler, what do you see for the model identifier?

As long as the hard drive is Ultra ATA 100 compatible it should work fine, and the RAM is DDR333 (PC-2700).

yes, get the western digital 5400rpm 250gig hard drive ATA (NOT SATA... and don't spend more than 100bucks) and then get 1gig of PC2700 ram.

You can also add a dvd burner to your iBook and you will almost have upgraded it to a Powerbook.

I've done it many times. Great machine.
