Hi. I got my iBook a couple of weeks ago and I am currently considering whether or not to upgrade to a 60GB 5200 RPM Toshiba HDD 16MB Buffer (MK-6026GAX) which a friend can get it for a cheaper price.

I refered to the specs from the 2 websites below.

http://www.fel.fujitsu.com/home/v3__product.asp?pid=344&inf=fsp&wg=0

The iBook came with a Fujitsu HDD (MHT2030AT) 30GB 4200RPM with 2MB Buffer.

Although the Toshiba has a faster RPM and bigger buffer, I noticed that its seek times is slightly slower than the stock Fujitsu. Besides that, the Fujitsu can take slightly more shock than the Toshiba.

Not to take HDD capacity in mind, I was wondering whether I should buy the Toshiba in which the spec gave me the impression i'm sort of buying something slower in terms of seek times and weaker in terms of shock.

Do give your opinion yah...
Thanks for your time.
