I've had this 12" iBook G4 sitting in the basement for well over a year (got it bundled with some other computer stuff I purchased). Thought I would do something with it but it's basically sat in the basement doing nothing. I posted it on CL in an attempt to give it away. But no takers. Given the number of PPC enthusiasts on this site I thought maybe someone here would want it.

The system is in fanstasic condition, especially for its age. The only thing wrong with it are the rear rubber feet are missing and I'm unsure of the condition of the battery. Other than that it's in excellent shape (even the rubber stops at the upper corners of the screen are in great shape). For its age it truly is in exception condition.

Configuration wise it's a 1.2GHz G4, 512MB RAM, 30GB hard disk, DVD-CD optical drive (it is not a Super Drive), Airport Express, and I think Bluetooth is in there.

I've read a number of posts where people are seeking good condition PPC systems and it looks as if someone here could enjoy this system. The question I have is, should I decide to give it to someone on this forum who should I give it to? Should I give it to a collector who could use a very nice iBook G4? Or should I give it to someone who lacks the means to buy one in this condition. Someone else?

Ah, that's a nice machine... especially with an mSATA-SSD upgrade (which is a bit awkward to install.)
You may use it for Office, email, light web-browsing, as a fax-machine, screensharing/filesharing with more recent Macs, as a music-machine to get access to shared iTunes-libraries, watch DVDs or streamed videos (with VLC/eyeTV etc), WhatsApp (with TenFourFoxBox), Beamer-companion (which offers screen-sharing via Hotspot)
