Hi all,

I have a 12 inch macbook 2016 model, and also have 10 bit color supported monitor.

I was successful in hooking up my 1440p monitor at 60hz through displayport, but am locked at 8bit depth color.

I was wondering if anyone has managed to get their macbook display at 10 bit color through USB C -> DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 2.0 ?

When I say 10bit color, I think you should be seeing the following under the system report -> graphic, specifically saying "argb2101010". I have linked the picture per below,

Thanks in advance!

No 10 bit colour hardware support did not come in until kabylake as far as I can tell.
