12 inch Macbook USB not working.

I have a 2015 12 inch macbook.
This is the one with only one usb type c port. I have tried 4 adapters and the charging works, hdmi works, but any usb device I connect won't work. I know its not a problem with the adapter because they work on my phone.

Try a restore. If that does not work, you need it repaired by Apple.

iPhones don't have USB-C so are you testing your USB-C adapters on an Android phone? What are the USB-C adapters?

Is your situation that USB devices used to work and now the same devices and adapters suddenly don't (implying a failure) or have you just acquired it and haven't had it working?
