I am at Best Buy and was wondering if the current generation 12 inch MacBook m3, 256, 8 GB is a good deal at $790 for an open box. I was playing around with it and it’s in great condition. Not thrilled on the gold, however, I can get over that if price is good. Thoughts? I am not a power user at all.

That it's an incredible price. RRP is £1250 here in the UK and the M3 is a very very capable Mac!
I love my 12" MacBook in fact, it's my favourite design Mac of all time along with the G4 Cube!

Scarf it up. Like the previous post stated, it's a great deal if the machine is in good condition and everything appears to be working like it should. Also buy Apple Care if you can afford it.

Did you buy it?

My Macbook Pro was exposed on a store. Battery was around 18 cycles. Got a good deal on it, but before warranty expiring, I bought Apple Care. Had a couple of screens and top cover replaced. Apple Care is very recommended on this kind of purchase.

Congrats on the purchase! I picked up the same configuration in space grey for 799 and have been carrying this thing around daily. My phone essentially stays in my pocket while I write, look up things on the web, and iMessage all on one screen. For work and for media consumption, this is a fantastic device.
