I have an early unit of a 12 mini manufactured early October. I picked it up on launch day, Friday 13 nov, and yesterday I had issues with the regular (not the wide-angle one) camera refusing to autofocus. The phone responded to tapping the screen, as if it was focusing, but nothing happened. Same thing in another camera app called Manual. Also tried manually focusing with the slider there but nothing, reboot didn't help either.

It has somehow started working again now but there was nothing I was able to do to get it back alive when it happened. Wide-angle lens worked fine when this happened, switching back and forth.

Anyone else experienced this? Once-only hiccup maybe?

I tried focusing at around 1 m distance, nothing happened. I was in a dark room so I tried the nearby well-lit one, still nothing, at a distance of maybe 2 m. So it wasn't a macro issue.
