I replaced the 40GB Fuji hard drive in my 867mhz rev 1 12" powerbook with a 100GB 2.5" Seagate Momentus 7200.1 hard drive. The installation seemed to go fine, but when I started it up, it told me the hard drive was only 69GB, and when I tried to erase and format it, it told me that the erase failed due to an input/output error. I opened everything back up, unplugged the HD and plugged it back in, and when i booted up again, it didn't even see that a HD existed! I tried the original HD, and same thing, it doesn't see a HD at all!

The only thing I can think of is i somehow ruined the IDE cable when installing the new HD (although it LOOKS fine). What else could it be? Where can I get a replacement IDE cable? Any input would be awesome! Thanks!
