Hey all, maybe one of you can point me in a new direction.

My wife has a 3 week old Rev. A 12" PBook that does not go to sleep on shutting the lid. It will stay on until the Energy Saver Pref. time for automatic sleep is reached. Is this a problem in software, or the latch, or the hinge, or what?

Any ideas other than calling Apple? That I already know to do, just want to see if I can fix it first.

Regards,
Gus

I know that is not normal... though Im sure you knew that :p

You may have something wrong with a connector in your display that triggers sleep mode when the display is closed.

You can either live with it or you can take it in to your local Apple store/authorized reseller to get it taken care of under warranty.

Yeah, I'm thinking repair too, sad thing is though that this would be the second PB and the second repair on the new one in 3 weeks. I'm a little annoyed, but I guess it's part of the territory.

If anyine else has a "quick fix" go ahead and let me know.

Regards,
Gus
