12'' PB Screen problems?

I've had my Powerbook for about three weeks now and I'm beginning to wonder if my screen has some sort of a problem. The issue is in the bottom corners of the display. Theres a light spot near each corner and then a darker area next to it. I snapped a few pictures of the display showing a 1024x768, pure white image, being viewed full screen using Preview.

What do you guys think? Is this something that is deemed worthy of replacement? Is there actually a problem?

This is my first Mac, and I expect nothing less than perfection for the amount of money I paid for it. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed by the stuck pixel it came with, but this other anomaly is really starting to bug me.

i have those too, i just thought they were the backlighting.

i have that same issue on my rev. A 12" pb. but I just thought that was an inherent characteristic of the LCD (i think the dell latitude i use at work has the same thing). it has never bothered me or caused any issues in working on documents or watching dvds.

i'd be curious to hear what the response would be if you talked to apple about it. if they do offer to repair such items, i don't think i would pursue it for mine because it doesn't cause any issues for me and i wouldn't want to be without my powerbook for any length of time!

I have to say, I'm not sure what you are getting at. I've looked at the three pictures and can't see any discernable change in brightness, nor have I noticed anything on my 12" PB. Are you sure you're not just confusing the viewing angle, inherent on all LCD displays?
