I am on my second battery (had the original replaced after the battery catching on fire recall) and it is starting to go bad. Does anyone have any suggestions for aftermarket batteries, both extended or just standard?

if a lil solder doesn't scare you... you can always rebuild it. you can crack it open and check out what batteries are inside, order up some compatible higher capacity ones and solder them in.

It's been done... I always sort of think about it. I was considering the fact that the MacBook has a say... 8cell battery at 5600mA... so, 700mA/cell... if one were to get 1400mA cells, then you could have double the battery life for something like $80.

Of course, if it was so easy, then why wouldn't
A: Apple have a super extended life battery?
B: A 3rd party dealer, such as NewerTech have a super, duper, hyper, extended life battery?
