5G is not widely available like 4G LTE is currently.
Depending on your carrier, location, number of towers, etc... - 5G service can be good or plain awful.
Then the issue is what type of 5G frequency is available: 600MHz low frequency 5G for distance, Sub 6 mid GHz frequency, and the highest + fastest mm Wave 24-40GHz short range microwave frequencies....
Where I live in TMO country, I get 5G consistently but only the Sub 6 bands which gets around 100 mbps.
However, if I drive to downtown Los Angeles or to the beach communities (wealthy areas), I do get 5G mm Wave towers which screams up to 2Gbps but I'd have to be in line of sight of those towers.
I think 5G is only getting better but for now we are all in a test tube for experimentation and data point collection.....
