I charged my iPhone before bed and just let it sit unplugged on my night stand. When I woke up just now it had lost almost 20% going from 100% to 84% and I cannot find any app running. It just dropped?

attached some images. It shows nothing besides the home and Lock Screen randomly between 7 and 8 am

Give it more time to settle, new phones always work away in the background. Try a hard reboot and check that no app is drawing power when it shouldn’t be from within settings.

lol,is this not your first day with the thing?Maybe give it a day or 2.

Please navigate to the “Last 10 Days” screen and click the bar furthest to the right like this and see what could be eating away at the battery:

Chill !!!

Standby battery in the first couple of days suffers from photo library syncing in the background.

You can also use Apple’s night mode function to reduce even more battery consumption at night.
