Does the larger iPhone 12 Pro Max screen actually show more information than the iPhone 12 screen, or is the information on the Pro Max just larger and easier to read?

For example, do you get more home screen icons on the Pro Max?

If you are reading a webpage or an app like Reddit, does the Pro Max actually show more, or is the text just larger?

Thanks.

More icons: No. They’re just larger.
Showing more on the screen? Such as text? Yes.

You can also show more on the screen at once by adjusting these settings.

It’s how I use my iPhone X (smallest text, hold closer to eyes) + the jailbreak tweak “Saw” to remove the bottom portion of the screen and reclaim screen real estate.

Yes, it shows more information than the 6.1" display.

In fact, the iPhone 12 Pro Max shows even more info than the iPhone 11 Pro Max or Xs Max.
