iPhone 12 Pro 12 Pro Max Ultra Wide Night shots - washed out?

I have been playing with the new camera system on the 12 pro max since Friday. I am really disappointed with the ultra wide lens with Night Mode. All of my shots are really washed out...lack detail..etc. Much of this I expected, but when compared to Note20Ultra, the results are pretty telling. Are others experiences results like below? Or should I consider sending back for new unit? thanks

The ultra wide is definitely the weakest of the three cameras, particularly in night mode. I don't think this is a faulty unit.

That is normal on the 12pm. Same on mine and all reviews I've seen.

good to know, but very disappointing really. I thought getting night mode on the ultra wide would be higher quality.
