Recently I upgraded to Mac OS X Lion. I still have 2GB RAM in my MacBook2,1 and have found there's a fair bit of swap space that accumulates over time. Is it worth upgrading to 4GB RAM (3.3GB addressable) given that I plan to upgrade to a new MacBook Pro next year (hopefully Ivy Bridge will bring USB3, SATAIII working on both SATA ports etc.) or should I make do with the RAM that I have in my MacBook for now?

Well that depends on if you are ok with the performance you have now, and if you have the $$ to buy the new RAM. 4gb isnt that expensive and I think it would be worth it, but it depends on if you really need a performance boost or are ok with how the machine is working now.
