27" owners - Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad?

I have both, and generally use the trackpad but it can get tiring as the screen is so large

I prefer the Trackpad on my 27" iMac for all except one function: Clicking on an object and dragging it around the screen. So I end up using both, but would prefer a single tool. Otherwise I prefer the Trackpad for this big screen, and gesturing under Lion is great.

I regret buying the Magic Mouse and would rather have the Trackpad plus a taller wheeled mouse -- a cheaper wireless Logitech mouse would have been fine.

I use both on my 27 except when I boot to WIN 7, which only uses the magic mouse. If I had to give up one in the MAC OS, I'd give up the Mouse in a heartbeat - actually I don't like it much at all - my fingers are always brushing against the top and causing unintentional scrolling, etc.

I actually use both the mouse and trackpad. I find for some tasks the mouse is better and for others the trackpad is better. If I was forced to choose between the 2, then I would choose the trackpad.

Neither.I stopped using the magic mouse when i saw how battery hungry it is.I use an old fashioned small, wired notebook infra red mouse and it works fine.

Yes I know, kinda ridiculous. Helps vs. carpel tunnel though!

I predominantly use the Razer, since it's small, light and really precise. I use the trackpad mainly for gestures or leaning back and browsing (I LOVE the two-finger double-tap to get a nice zoom going in Safari) since I got the Twelve South Magic Wand.

I use the Magic Mouse mainly for my MBA since I feel it's not fast enough or precise enough for my iMac. I also dislike the ergonomics, it has great features but it just isn't comfortable. My hand isn't flat like it is.

The Logitechs I use very uncommonly. The Performance was my main mouse until the Orochi arrived, and the G13 is for games, but I have trouble with playing them well with it.

Anyway, Trackpad over Mouse.

You can't go wrong having a mouse (Your choice of brand) and The TP. It's a good idea to have a wired mouse lurking nearby!!

Trackpad + USB mouse

When I switched to the 27" display, I started using the trackpad exclusively, rather than the Magic Mouse. I set the trackpad tracking speed to the fastest setting which makes it quite easy to get around the large screen.

One problem is that I later upgraded my OS to 10.6.8 which made my bluetooth drop its connection when the HDD goes to sleep. It takes 35 seconds for bluetooth to reconnect the trackpad. So for a workaround I have to use my old USB mouse first until the bluetooth wakes up. Not the best arrangement.
