So every single year I am tempted to get a new iPhone. I currently have 12 pro and was thinking of upgrading to either 13pro or 13 pro max. Problem is the only major difference I see if 120hz, and granted I always wanted it, but never actually experienced it on the phone. How is this feature to those who tried it on other phones? Is it worth it to upgrade? Or just stick to 12pro?

If you’re on the fence, wait until next year. The 120hz display isn’t likely going to go away, but only improve. We may even get a bigger update next year.

Reserved a 13 Pro on the iPhone Upgrade Programme pending the reviews embargo being lifted on Tuesday. I instantly loved ProMotion on my old 2017 iPad Pro and it was instrumental in my upgrading to a 2021 iPad Pro again over and above an iPad Air.

I’m open to being convinced of its benefit on the smaller screen - if the difference is negligible then I’ll likely cancel my reservation. If it is nearly or as worthwhile as I find it on the iPad Pro then I’m in.

I've use a S21 before with 120hz, what I notice is fast scrolling and faster battery drain. Would like to see how Apple combat/fix the battery drain.
