Hi all,
So I got this device (Iomega wifi station) which basically makes your existing hard drives wireless. I basically got this device a few days before I upgraded to OS X Lion so I predominantly use (and have used) it on OS X Lion.
I have noticed however, that it takes quite a while to access the hard drives, and when I play something through VLC or something, it takes its time and skips and doesnt play properly basically.
On my iPad though, I got an app called Buzz player which lets me play stuff off my hard drive (because its UpnP enabled), and it streams perfectly fine on my iPad. And i've tried playing HD stuff too and that plays fine too. It is almost unplayable on my macbook.
In addition to this, the hard drive plays stuff quite nicely on my ps3 too.
Is this a lion issue? Or is it my macbook? I'm not too sure because I didnt use it much on Snow Leopard, so i cant remember if it was working fine or not.
EDIT:could have been a lion issue because I did a clean install of Lion a few days ago and it seems to be working nice and smoothly now!
