Hi,

I'm going to be buying a domain soon and I'll either be using 123-reg or 1&1; these are what people I know use or have reccomended.

I looked for some reviews and they all seem positive for both.

What do you think?

Thanks.

Definitely not 123 Reg. A friend of mine had a hell of a lot of trouble getting their customer support to fix a problem he had.

I'd personally recommend namecheap.com

And avoid GoDaddy too, I couldn't stand them either.

I bought my domain through 1and1 but use my own servers.

I absolutely love them though; 5 subdomains free with my domain, email address, etc, all for a lower price than I could find anywhere else.

Good luck.

No problem.

Glad I could help. If you have any more questions PM me or reply to the thread.

When signing up for my domain (will be a .co.uk) are there any options or do I have to pay not to have my details on the WHOIS information?

When I purchased my domain from 1and1 (.com domain by the way) it was free to hide my information in the WHOIS lookup.

I use 123-reg and am hiding my details tbh they were really helpfull with me
i guess it just depedns on personal experience i would reccomend them

I heard there's different regulations with domains ending in .uk. I should hopefully be getting my domain tomorrow. :)

Again, thanks for help.
