We weren't living here for the 5th of November but New Years Eve was incredible! We didn't know what to expect so we went onto the balcony completely unprepared for what was about to happen. You could hear what sounded like several hundred east enders chanting the countdown and midnight rang in with cheers, stomps and fireworks in every direction, as far as the eye could see for several minutes straight. You could hear, see, feel and smell a spectacular feast for the senses. It was a rather awe-inspiring experience.

I don't think I could do it ANY justice filming it so I'm not going to. I am looking forward to seeing it again though. :)

You should just set it and leave it snapping away and see what comes out. You never know, you might end up with a masterpiece. :)

Are you using software on your Mac with the camera tethered or is it all built in to the camera?
 
That was actually quite magnificent! I love night time-lapse vids watching the moon, planets and stars zoom by. To me it's the clearest indication that we're all sat on a big blue ball spinning around space.

I reckon she made e sit there all night clicking the button every few minutes. Always thought Blue seemed like the dominant type. ;) :D

Pfffft, like I could trust a man with that kind of precision! :D


I used Canon's software and tethered to a windows laptop. Canon's software doesn't work with Lion yet. :-/
