Hello all!

Lots of hype about the Apple iPhone Event in just over 16 hours! If you're not aware, MacRumors has an IRC channel for discussions on anything Apple related. So please, if you have any questions, or just want to pop in for a friendly chat - we will see you there!

- Server Information -
Server: irc.krono.net
Channel: #macrumors
Port: 6667

Edit: For any newbies to IRC, use Colloquy on your Mac, or alternatively you can use our very own MR-IRC WebChat

When I go the web based chat it says something like Macrumors640 logged in. Am I showing up as my name on here or what's the deal?

connecting through that chat is an anonymous web-based interface. if you type "/nick YOURNICKHERE" and press enter, it will change your nick name.

alternatively, you can download a dedicated IRC client (Colloquy linked in the OP, Adium, Linkius, etc.). :)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_10 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E600 Safari/6533.18.5)

Can I use via iPhone

Yes certainly! Colloquy is probably the best to purchase, Or if you just want to try out IRC go to webchat.mr-irc.com and log in as a guest :)

Seems to be working okay now. Although the password I had that did work before for my nickname no longer works.

EDIT: The IRC room has been moved to irc.mr-irc.com.
