I just bought 2 bumpers from the apple store today. White and black, don't settle for less. Get the official.
The dimensions are the same, but the button placement is like that of the CDMA iPhone 4.

If you're going to buy the official bumper, they should be compatible with the new 4S as they were previously redesigned for the CDMA models.
They were $29.99 each. The apple dude in the store said the dimensions are the same.

Just might order that myself. I like how the middle is clear so you can see if there's any dust/debris inside scratching your antenna + its TPU so it won't stretch...

I was thinking of color converting my new iphone when it comes, so my question is what is the best bumper case that only covers the edge of the iphone? Im thinking of just getting the clear protectors for the front and back that way i can show off the color conversion!!

I just ordered the Scosche bandEDGE Case for iPhone 4 (Clear/Black). I like the idea of it because it's got a clear polycarb band between the black bumper that allows the silver band of the phone to be seen.
I personally like the apple ones. I haven't used many others. But the apple's seems to be the only one that doesn't fall apart quickly.
I just saw these doing a search for my first 4S case.
I would absolutely LOVE to have the Vapor 4 iPhone Case. Not as expensive, but still extremely attractive.
EDIT: And I realize it's for the GSM iPhone only.

Unlike the Antennagate Special, iPhone 4S is supposed to have a functioning antenna. Perhaps a bumper is not mandatory.

Do some more research on the vapor 4. I think that case had some signal issues.

it's such a non issue lol. Totally overblown by the media and not even worth worrying about. The vast majority of iPhone users use a case anyway.
