Apple rarely backtracks from these types of things. If they said "4s-only", that is likely how it will stay.

We can debate the merits of it all we want, but at the end of the day Apple does what Apple wants.

I highly doubt it. If anything the iPad 2, but I bet that won't happen either.

doubt it will show up in Cydia either. its intergrated into iOS5 for iPhone 4S unless the dev team can somehow extract it out of the build for the 4S i highly doubt it will be in the Cydia store

Previous iPhones will not have Siri. Since Siri can read and write to the OS, the 4S probably has a different version of iOS then previous iPhones.

I sure hope it doesn't!

Makes my 4s retain that much more value on craigslist ;) :D :p

I don't think so..if they allow iph 4 people to have Siri..what is the point of 4s.. Their marketing strategy is to sell iph 4s using Siri. That's the advantage of having 4s

I don't see it happening. Probably a processor thing. Mostly a marketing thing.

I'm surprised there is no word on the status of Siri with iPad 2. Sounds like the iPad 2 is faster than the 4s and has the same RAM. But again, probably a marketing thing.
