Anyone has same problem? Just used for three days and home button making clicking sound when wiggle from right to left. Is it normal?

iPhone 4S home button loose clicking

Just noticed mine doing the same tonight. Haven't noticed it before though, hoping it remedies itself. Tested the same movement on my 3GS' home button and it's rock solid. This is just a slight clicking noise when slightly pressing down on the home button, and moving your finger left to right.
Yes. I went back for replacement, got a worse one. Guess should had stuck with original one.

Anyone with this issue just deal with it! The replacements are worse. I went to 2 different Apple stores and had 7 replacements with the iPhone 4.
Yes it's annoying but remember the home button is still functional and is only supposed to go up and down... lol (not left and right) stop making it wiggle.
As Apple owners we expect everything to be perfect, it seems some of us have "Apple OCD" worse off than others - myself being one of those people. I have the same issue that I had on my iPhone 4 and it bugged the you know what out of me, I just have to keep telling myself it's just a phone and everything else works perfect.

Well, my opinion is that since the company puts out highly polished luxury items, it's rather normal to have AppleOCD.
I was leery of getting a worse-off replacement iPhone 4S, but the "loose" home button had started to nag me. I scheduled a genius bar appointment, took it in, and they told me that the home-buttons on the 4S (and, presumably, the 4) are not part of the frame like they were in the 3GS so they naturally felt a little more loose until (as gross as it sounds) worldly hand gunk made its way into the crevices of the button to stiffen it up. Makes sense to me. I feel better just knowing that it doesn't fit the bill for "loose home button." I was really not looking forward to all the 'new iPhone' stuffs again (it takes me like an hour to put on a screen protector).
In any case, hope that helps put other people's minds at ease as well.

My iPhone 4S just got a loose button this morning. I was planning on replacing it with a brand new retail box for 2 stuck pixels. I went the Apple Store and they swapped it for the pixels and it does the same thing. Yes its annoying, but I think it is normal, even tried a few floor models. I have to go back to the store on tuesday to get their iPod fixed so I will try more floor models
Just got back from an Apple Store (friend needed to fix their iPod) I did ask a genius and they said it was normal, another thing I found was only the AT&T models had the loose button, everyone that has found this, What carrier are you on. I guess its normal and I can live with it
I have Sprint, i have an appointment with a "Genius" but am hesitant to even go.
One being i may get a worse phone, (My phone is perfect except the noisy Home button)
And it may just be a waste of time and i will be denied a replacement.

I've had an iPhone since the first one and honestly you don't need to hit the home button hard at all, which is most likely causing most of your issues to begin with. Play nice with your home button.
No, its not the problem, if you move your finger over the button it feels like it is moving. It comes out of the box like this

mine is pretty loose, but i don't know if i want to risk another exchange (1st one for dead pixels but the button was starting to loosen), i want to see if other people succeed at fixing with a replacement
Honestly if it moves to the point where it is not functional to just wow it fell out, I wouldn't replace it. Why? Cause one it takes a lot of time to replace these things as we know Apple Stores are increasing in traffic and appointments too. Secondly why not, is you could risk running into yet another problem.
If you really wanted to exchange it, what I would recommend is asking the genius/family room specialist who is assisting you to ask them since that they are pretty much done with you, that you would like to check some things out on the new one first before leaving while he/she helps another person as it allows them to feel like they can still work at the pace required of them (meaning the appointments) and you still feel safe knowing someone is there to help you if it doesn't suit your needs as they are multitasking.

I just also got my iphone 4s. And yep the home button is not like the ipod's. Its kinda loose and soft. I think its normal and it could be d new feature of 4s. Just get used to it. Everythings fine as long as its workin well.
Yeah it's lose but it works I think it happens from dropping the iPhone too many times. Thats how mine got lose I think. Plus it's 18 months old.
nope, not me. If you only had it for 3 days, you should get it exchanged, or at least have them take a look at it to see if they can fix it.
