Just trying to gather some data. The other "batterygate" thread is too long.

Please only check one answer per Question Group!

FWIW, I also believe this to be a software bug issue...

EDIT: I realize the data gathering power of a poll this large isn't that great since you can't correlate answers, but I'm hoping the percentages might reveal a trend given enough responses.

Edit: Good lord... that Poll is like a novel written! ;)

Btw I'm on my 3rd 4S (warranty 2nd replacement). I disable all the battery suckers (calibrate battery, set up as new, no iCloud, no location services, etc) each time so hopefully 3rd times a charm?

I just charge a lot. Disabling all the features that make the phone truly unique kind of defeats the purpose. Not having location services, iCloud back-ups, etc. compromises a lot of best features of the phone. Fortunately my job puts me in a car for most of the day so keeping a charge in the phone isn't a issue. Even with pretty much everything on the battery life is still better than the Android phone I came from. With that thing if the GPS was on for an hour the phone would be close to dead. This phone will still go an easy twelve hours with everything on and doing a lot of streaming from 3G to BT. I run it hard so I don't expect 24 hours out of it. For what I put it through I consider the battery life pretty decent, roughly double the Droid.

Looks like from the poll results thus far that people have battery drain problems, have set up as a new phone, and done all the tips and tricks and it has not helped.

The battery issues people are experiencing are iOS 5 related and have nothing to do with the phones. I have outlined a list of instructions here. You don't have to disable all the features of course. I can tell you that location based reminders is the biggest battery killer and then there are small bits and pieces that can make things better.

My battery life has sucked from day one. Originally restored from back up, this weekend I set up as new and it's actually worse!!! Unacceptable level at this point. At 21% with 4:53 in usage and 9:14 in standby. It's be dead on the drive home!!!
