Earlier today, I discovered that some of the pictures in my contacts were corrupted, and were slightly off. I decided to turn off iCloud contact syncing, and then I deleted all of the pictures in my contacts (including the Apple contact picture). Around an hour later, I've noticed that my iPhone's battery life seems to be improved. I haven't had a chance to do any real tests, but it seems like the battery percentage is decreasing slower than before.

For iPhone 4S users with good battery life: Do you have any pictures associated with contacts in your contact book?

For iPhone 4S users with poor battery life: Do you have any pictures associated with contacts in your contact book?

Thanks guys

Turning it off is not enough, I have already tried that. For some reason, deleting the contact's pictures did the trick. (Make sure to back them up beforehand!)

I don't have contacts syncing on iCloud as I use gmail for that. However after turning of all the "systems services" in the location setting I have noticed my iPhone 4S battery life is way better infact my iPhone 4S is sitting at 71% with 4 hours of usage and has been on standby for 14 hours.

Pictures for about 30 contacts and great battery life here. Cloud is on for Di d my iPhone and images and that's it, and most of the location services turned off.
