WTF. Siri literally can't get one single command correct.

I say "Call (my child's name)"
Siri says "Calling (someone else with a similar name)"...even after I added a phonetic pronunciation

I say "Call Siobhan (phonetic name "shiv-on")
Siri says "I can't find a contact named "Shit in""...seriously!

I say "Call my child"
Siri says "Calling Mike Child"

I say "(My child's name) is my son"
Siri says "Should I say Son Lee is your child?"

Plus my wife and I share an Apple account so Siri keeps calling me by my wife's name.

Have you tried enunciating? Also sharing an apple account has nothing to do with it calling you by your wife's name. You have to go into the Settings->General->Siri->My Info and set that to your contact info.

That's funny, LOL Siri works very well for me, no problems getting it to do what I ask the first time. Maybe you have a faulty one?

Have you tried annunciating? Also sharing an apple account has nothing to do with it calling you by your wife's name. You have to go into the Settings->General->Siri->My Info and set that to your contact info.

Or enunciating.

Last years gimmick was Face Time, this year it's Siri, next year with any luck, Tim Cook will not rely on gimmicks, but instead give us a well sorted out new iPhone. Devoid of the foibles of iPhones 4 & 4S, the next new iPhone "will just work".
