hello all i just recorded a video of my son sleeping just to test the camera out at night with flash on. and the quality is beyond good. my question is how do i extract the raw footage from the device?. because it seems sending in an email after compression it gets smaller and quality is a tad less from my eyes

Sync the device and pull the video out of iPhoto.

one last question. on the smaller image it shows 30fps but on full 720 it reads 24.4 fps why is that?

I exported a movie from iMovie at highest file size and the video ended up a small square.
