Show us what you have done with GeekTool and how it looks on your desktop.

Mine for example.

What font/script is your clock? my clock always has a zero before single digit hours. Also your font is more subtle. Very nice

Similar question to the above, what font is the month and day in?

Also, have some contribution, details on everything are in the December Desktop thread.

Here is my current setup. The vertical month text is an image file controlled by NerdTool.

I'm thinking of having all the text angled, but that requires an abstract desktop and I like the look of the landscapes that I currently use.

how exactly do you tilt text? i was looking to do this before.

I've come up with two ideas:
1 - Build images with the information you wanted angled, and have a script to display those images.
2 - Use ImageMagik in a script to take text from a command and then create a picture with the text angled.

Both methods have their pros and cons. Each method involves two geeklets for one bit of text, unless you create one script that generates all the images for you at one time.

Started experimenting today. It's pretty cool but I'm having difficulty getting text to flow behind pictures properly. I need to find the right wallpaper. These will work for now. I also stumbled onto bowtie. pretty nifty as well.
