128GB Samsung 830 vs Vertex 4 vs Crucial M4,
which on is better??
Compare on compatible and performance.
Thanks

There are so many threads on this.

They are all pretty similar for the regular use. From what I've read, the Samsung 830 is a solid choice.

All are compatible. All will work.

Vertex 4 is the fastest.
Samsung 830 is fast too and most reliable
M4 is the slowest

Samsung 830. It is what I have installed in my Mac and I have had zero problems. I have read that the Vertex drive can be problematic (SandForce related?), and the Crucial is solid, but the write speeds are slower than the 830.

Enjoy your SSD!

I've seen plenty of 830s and M4s fail, as well as Vertex's.

Does the vertex 4 still have the read or writing speed slow down problem? because i got saw some article said that, dun know ocz got fix it now ?

no slow downs for my brother, he has a 256GB OCZ V4 in a 2012 13" MBP.

Get the 830, its amazing.

I was on the same boat a week ago. I tried to stay away from sandforce controller because of the 'issues' it had. I ended up choosing M4 because 1) i can just update firmware within OSX (OCZ and Samsung can't), 2) it was cheaper than 830.

Even though people say it's the slowest but it's still plenty fast comparing to traditional HDD. I doubt people can tell the difference too cause all they do is look at the spec.
