Hi Guys,

Would I notice a big difference in performance in my Mid 2009 13" 2.26GHz MBP if I changed the 500GB HD to a 128 or 256 SSD?

I currently have 8GB Ram in the system, and I'm happy with how it runs.

If I were to buy and instal an SSD, would I be able to use this same one in a 2012 MacBook Pro if I chose to upgrade to one in the future?

Thanks.

Yes!

Yes, as long as it's not the Retina.

You would notice speed increases in everyday tasks such as start-up time, launching applications, etc.

Anything that tasks the hard drive really.

you are going to notice a huge upgrade bro, im sure you will like it

Besides from getting better performance, the computer will also be quieter. No more harddrive noise. I value that as high as the increased performance.
