I like the magic mouse, but it is much too sensitive to my liking. Can I use a different mouse? Does it have to be a Mac?

Thanks.

You can use any mouse you like. I prefer Logitech mice, like my Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX™

check out some of the logitech gaming mice like the G700- they have adjustable dpi settings so you can customize the sensitivity to your liking.

(But as the poster above me mentioned- the Anywhere MX is a great mouse too)

I really like the trackpad, but I know its not for everyone.

This. I love my trackpad, but when I feel the need for a real mouse, I use the bluetooth Microsoft 5000 mouse. I know, it's Microsoft, but at the time it was one of the few bluetooth mice with more than 2 buttons.

Thanks. Looked at a Logitech V470, think I'll go that route. Thanks agin.

Before buying a new mouse, try adjusting the settings for your magic mouse ? Disable the functionalities that come in because of the high sensitivity.

The Magic Trackpad is the better mouse... seriously. It may take you a little time to get adjusted to it (it did me in moving from the Magic Mouse), but you will ultimately be happier with it. Apple is all in with multi-touch, and that means a trackpad. Everything else will be a a compromise going forward with anything Apple.

This really makes sense. Rather than get a fully-functional mouse that meets your needs, simply disable functionalities of your current mouse!

I'll also vote for the Logitech Anywhere MX, but it is a bit small for my hands. It's good for limited use, but I prefer the Logitech Performance MX. It's bigger and fits my hand better. I also have a wired Logitech mouse on my gaming mouse, the MX400 I believe, and I really like it.
