Now, it is messes. From tinyumbrella, the iphone is v4.1, BB is 06.15.00-6.4_M3S2, serial number QR14117... and the iphone stuck in recovery mode, only can use emergency call. Here is how come:

1. The original is v4.3.5, BB 06.15.02
2. update FW to v5.0.1, BB 06.15.05 by offically itune update
3. Downgrade to v4.1 by itune 10.4, and kick off error 1015 by redsn0w
4. jailbreak by redsn0w, set BB to iPad (06.15.00), success
5. suffer to find ultrasn0w, can not find it from cydia because alwasys be waiting...
6. find ultrasn0w 1.2.5 releases soon / already, and find many iphone app need v4.2 or higher, then try to upgrade to 5.0.1
7. generated custom v5.0.1 ipsw by redsn0w to perserve BB.
8. try to restore by itune, but failed due to error 10
9. by sn0wbreeze v2.8b11, generated custom v5.0.1 ipsw, then try to restore by itune, failled as well due to error 20
10. restore v4.1 by itune, error 1015 occurred, try to kick off it by redsn0w, not works...

What should I do now? appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

This is not recovery mode screen. It is activation screen. You need an original sim to activate it or take it to home screen. Original sim does not need to be active. Old/inactive sim works as well.

The original carrier is fido, I did activate the iphone by an inactive sim card before when I updated from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1. But this time it does not work.

Is it possible update to 5.0.1 and then jailbreak, unlock by ultrasn0w 1.2.5?

(Update) --> uninstall itune 10.5 then install 10.4. run itune, iphone now activated.

Solved!

1. made v4.1 custom hacktivate ipsw by sn0wbreeze 2.1, restore it by itune 10.4.
2. 10xx error occurred, and iphone was hanging incorrect boot status
3. restore the same ipsw by itune again, this time succeed!
4. run cydia, install ultrasn0w, unlock succeed

Now, I did not satisfy with v4.1, because lots of app requires v4.2 or higher. Then, try v5.0.1

5. made v5.0.1 custom hacktivate ipsw by sn0wbreeze 2.8b11
6. restore custom ipsw by itune 10.5, succeed!
7. boot by redsn0w, then run cydia, install ultrasn0w 1.2.5.
8. boot by redsn0w again, unlock succeed!

In summary, I think the easiest way to do jailbreak and unlock iphone is to make custom, hacktivate ipsw (you can select install 06.15.00 iPad baseband if your BB is higher than that), then restore the custom ipsw by itune and unlock by ultrasn0w.
