Yesterday, I went to local compusa store and I found out that they still have stock dual 1.8 PM 256MB 80GB 64MB VRAM at $1699. So I ask the apple representative about possible discount and then he asked manager and came up with following

PM DP 1.8 $1549.00
Apple Care $249.00
Total $1798.00

Is it a good deal?

I think that the only advantage of this model is dual processor and nothing more (New model has better video card, bigger vram, bigger HDD, faster CPU, and more ram. Even new iMac has better spec than this model except processor)

Please give me any advice

Thats a good deal for a new dual 1.8GHz. The only thing that would compare would be a refurb dual 1.8GHz for $1499 + Applecare from Apple's online store. For $50 more, I would get the new one. So yes, I think its a good deal.

Its a better deal than you would get buying straight from apple but if i were you id save and get the new duel 1.8 the upgrades it features are worth the extra $$$$
