12gb in a folder with only 22mb folder.

So I accidentally copied a 30gb folder into the documents folder which I realized about 20 seconds I was copying into the wrong folder. So I stopped at 12 gb. Anyways when I stopped I didnt see the folder to delete it and Documents says it has 12gbs in there when I only have a 22mb folder of some pictures in there..

Anyway to get around this?

empty the trash bin?

if not maybe move the real contents of the folder to a new folder then delete the old folder.
