Hey all, I saw some threads where it is recommended to calib the battery if the person is using the laptop from the AC power for the most of the time.
Which I did yesterday.

Plugged in for 2 hours. (with full charge)
Let the computer do some heavy works.
the computer automatically shut down.
I had to go for work, so I left the computer the way it was for 9 hours.
Came back, and plugged in the charge before I went to sleep.

Right now, I have coconut battery open, and it tells me:
Current Battery Capacity: 5051mAh (92%)
Original Battery Capacity: 5450mAh

It used to hit 5505mAh (100%) before calib. Did I do something wrong or is this normal?

It fluctuates. I have seen mine as low as 92% or as high as 98%, so I wouldn't worry about it. It is also likely that it reports lower because you drained the battery quickly. Ideally, if you drain it by surfing the net, word processing, etc, it will be a bit more accurate when calibrating.

You don't necessary have to calibrate it again, but give it a few cycles and it should start to correct. Also make sure you have the newest version of coconut battery.

thx a lot guys!!!!!!!!!
now I don't have to be paranoid.

No need to worry about that. They don't keep 100% capacity for very long, if at all, but they will stay in the mid-upper 90s for a very long time. I'm at 144 cycles and have 96% health still.

Oh okay. I've run scared and am using it at AC power mostly. I'll run it off battery and see how it works out.
