I was checking MacBook Pro specs on the apple website, the 15 inch 2018 MacBook Pro is lighter and thinner than the 13 inch 2011 MacBook Pro and its less than an inch wider and about half an inch deeper, wouldn't that mean I would get the same amount of portability if I purchase the 15 inch 2018 MBP compared to my current 2011 which I find portable?

i'm considering the 2.2/16/512/555x would that be a good choice and better value for my money than the 2.6ghz which gets hotter due to higher clock speed, or an equivalent i7/16/512 13 inch with inferior graphics, lower ram speed and less cores.

I always found the 15" MBP too big for me, I was always after 4 cores (I do a lot of logic work) and was very pleased the 13" has enough cores and 16GB (although 32 would have been very nice).

Portability aside it's what do you need, for me the 13" has enough power whilst on the road and when paired/docked with an eGPU and external display as a powerhouse at the desk, but if you need dedicated graphics when mobile then the 15" is your only option
