13.3" Inchers weigh in. *Amazing Stamina*

Just wanted to report that ive been using my MBP on battery since 12:30 4 Hours its at 77% and says 8 Hours 40 Mins to go. lol

We will see what the final numbers actually turn out to be but basically i charged it up to full then unplugged and have been using it for web browsing and itunes, and exploring mac osx as its my first mac for 4 hours already.

screen is on 50% keyboard is on 3 bars and wifi is connected.

Are you other 13" inchers seeing simliar results?

Final was 11:18 at 2% battery. Forum based web browsing, few youtube videos, and exploring iphoto, itunes, mail.
Brightness at ~50% wifi on; BT off

This is one of the best things about the 13" MBP. Enjoy!
 
well gonna call it a night, still have 35% left... 8 hours down.
 
Hmm, my mbp is about to die. At 2% after about 5 hours. Although I have a feeling that using the internet through my phone and thus charging it over USB had a detrimental effect. Still even 5 hours is great on a full computer. Just using Chrome and Adium. Oh and Activity Monitor.

EDIT: Final count was 4:45m with minimal use. Hrm. That was with backlight at 50%, BT off, and KB backlight off. I know using my phone for internet accelerated battery drain, but I doubt it halved it. 10 hrs is starting to seem far fetched.

The battery life on these truly amazes me.

Everyone knows 15" is too large to be comfortable.
 
Were you really browsing for 11 hours straight? Or was there alot of idle time sitting there when the screen turned itself off, etc?

browsing for 10 hours + screen turned off 2 or 3 times while i went to make food or bathroom etc.

Impressive. I'm getting a full day of intermittent use, probably 7-8 hours if I were to add up the hours of use. Hell of a lot better than my white 2006 1,1...that's for sure!

What was your procedure about battery care on the first week you got it? Did you full charge and full drain it (calibrate) all times during first week charges?

1 full charge from unboxing
1 full drain.
then charged it full again.
Then ran test down to 2% now i will be charging as i go.
 
Just started using mine after receiving it. First full charge and discharge. I don't take my power adapter with me when I'm headed for the university library. It lasts between nine and eleven hours.
 
Just got my new MBP, and the battery is amazing on this thing! I calibrated the first time and recharged, and now I still have 5 hours left with 50% charge. I am really impressed.
 
I'm getting about 7 hours using wifi with a browser and Airtunes. I think it's going to be hard to get the 10 hours advertised. It would be nice if Apple rated laptop battery life using a standard that is as conservative as the standard it uses with the iPad and iPods. But it doesn't really matter - 7 hours works great for me.
