I saw on the release notes we can use 3rd party map apps on the home screen of CarPlay to replace Apple Maps. I’m talking the multi view screen. Anyone figure out how to set this up?

3Rd party apps need to be updated first. I would expect to see new Google Maps, Waze, etc, updates by next week to allow this option.
