Hi guys,
I don't know which one to choose so need help :D I'm a 2d graphic designer. I use photoshop, adobe illustrator at my work and sometimes edit my travel videos (very rarely). I will use a external monitor, ssd also.
I thinking now about 13” i5 quadcore, 16gb ram 256 ssd and 15” hexacore i7 , 16gb ram 256 ssd.
Will the differences be very big between these 2 models in performance? Will this configuration of 13" be noticeable weaker than 15" ? Because 15" one has 6 cores i7 and gpu inside. Is it worth to pay little bit more for 15” or better get 13" 4core with 16gb ram and upgrade to 512ssd?
I want this macbook to be my workhorse for at least 4 years.

13" i5, 16 ram, 256 ssd: 2691 usd
13" i5, 16 ram, 512 ssd: 2961usd
Base 2018 15" with 256ssd: 3242 usd

I too am a 2d Artist and personally screen real estate is important to me. If I were you and had the budget I would get the 15 inch. In regards to performance, you might get a little better performance with the i7 for sure.

I'm no designer, but I do play on TV :p

Seriously, I tried using Photoshop and Lightroom on a 13" MBP over the years and I found the lack of screen real estate to be frustrating. My personal preference is for the 15" model

For the difference in price between 13" and 15" (about 600usd) I could be an external monitor and dongles :D
Do you guys use external monitors?

Well that again is up to your useage. If you travel a bit and like to do work on the move, Te the 15 inch, if you feel like you will mainly use it on the desk, then keep the 13 and then buy an external monitor. It really is up to how you like to do your work. But @maflynn and I are the same and can’t use too small of a screen.

Indeed, but its not my home usage that I struggle with. My 15" MBP is hooked up to a very old Apple Cinema display, but its when I travel. That's where the frustration occurs

Yup :)

So the performance between these 2 guys will be similar or 15" will be significantly stronger in daily usage for 2d graphics?
