Has anyone else seen this with the 13.6.3 to 13.6.4 update:

I started the download of the update, then manually quit all my open apps while that was downloading.

The update went throuh its multiple restarts, and getting my display orientation all screwed up etc, but when it finally came back to the desktop, it came back with all my previous apps runnign again, documents open etc.

It's like it was restoring my previous session, but backdated to a few minutes prior to the reboot to begin the OS update process.

I believe that's the expected behavior?

I always quit my apps before hitting the download button. Such issues never occurred to me.

I guess I would have assumed if it saved the system state it would so so at the point where the download had finished, and it was prmpting to restart and begin the install. 🤷‍♂️

Probably just a problem with the plist that saves opened apps /Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.loginwindow
Ventura has always been slow in saving changes in Preferences files.
