13.6.7 build 22G720 was released on May 13 after 5 RCs

But then RC 6 build 22G807 was released on June 17 and RC 7 build 22G810 on July 1 - yet they retained the version number 13.6.7

This is despite RC 1 and 2 for Monterey 12.7.6 getting a new version number up from 12.7.5

So is apple wrong and the new ventura should be version 13.6.8? Or are we stuck with 13.6.7 forever?

Here is my About This Mac's for my new ventura VMs for builds 22G807 and 22G810 showing version is still 13.6.7

So how about it? Should it be 13.6.8 by now or are we stuck with 13.6.7?

I have just installed 13.6.7 (today) and it shows 22G720.
Are your updates Beta builds…?

You have the May 13 build. Mine are the RCs which came out after that.

apple has killed this tread but i'm glad they did - rcs for a version that has already been released is very confusing

so we can expect there will be a 13.6.8 rather than a rerelease of 13.6.7

the latest rc for ventura is indeed 13.6.8 build 22G813
