Hi guys,

I was getting 3 hr battery life but it seems better since I reset the SMC.

Can you please tell me roughly how long you get from a full charge?

I guess I should be expecting 4-5 hours?

Best

Aaron

I got 4 hours with average use (maximum brightness + wifi on + surfing web).

Edit: 13" MBP.

On my 13" MBP I usually get around 5 hours to a charge. My typical usage involves having Mail, Safari, iTunes, Word, and Excel open at the same time on medium brightness, keyboard back light off, and volume on low. I have been through 5 cycles since I got it, and still have 100% battery health. Calibrate your battery using the aforementioned link, and check out Coconut Battery for some battery stats (if you don't already use it).

he is reporting real time usage, not predicted use right? why should calibrating the battery change his real time usage?

I hope you are not getting these numbers from whatever shows up on the battery meter on your mac. These numbers changes depending on the load of the computer. To get better results, run the computer from full charge to empty and timing it at the same time. Run it at your normal usage, not just playing movies on it if that's not what you do all the time. If you browse the web, then browse the web and time it from full charge to empty.

And the UMBs do not have a better battery life compared to the UMBPs
