13 inch crashing 2012

My new 13 inch 2012 macbook pro has crashed on 2 occasions today. When it crashes the screen goes all jagged, hopefully you will be able to see image below. On both occasions i had been running handbrake and was ripping a DVD but I have done this many times without problem.

I upgraded the ram today so not sure whether that could be causing the defect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend replacing the original RAM and trying to replicate the issue.

you werent happen to be using Chrome by any chance all. Seems like there has been alot of crashing going on with chrome and the new 2012 macbook models.

No do not have chrome installed. I had mail, iTunes, safari and handbrake running.
