13-inch Haswell Macbook Pro I5. vs. I7.

Hi Guys,

I am going to jump over to the dark side soon (just kiddin)...switching from a windows machine to a mac.

I know that I want a 13-inch Macbook Pro, 16gb ram, 512 SSD. However, I am unsure about the difference between the I5 and the I7. Is the upgrade worth the money? Will it provide a noticeable boost in performance? Will the I7 use more power than the I5, possibly reducing batterlife?

I plan to use the machine as my main computer, so I will use it for studying, internet browsing, producing music, edit pictures, etc.

Saw this on another post

tests showed that the 2.8 i7 is only 3-5% faster than the 2.6 i5.
