As the title says, someone else experiencing this? it was fine the first day of usage, but after I taxed the gpu for the first time (3d Views in ArcGis Earth) I have severe coil whine even at normal usage, like just opening apps. everytime something happens on the screen that taxes the gpu. It emerges from the bottom right area in portrait orientation.
it is really annoyingly loud, like the casing resonates and amplifies the noise, and it's frequency is all over the place, low to high, so it's really audible when I have the iPad on my lap, it's so loud!

f**ck, it was perfect, now it's annoying to use :( if there no way to mitigate this I have to exchange...

After troubleshooting I have an update, sorry for ruffling some feathers XD

I took the iPad out of the case and the whining is gone! so this must have to do with all the magnets in the case maybe, will further investigate.

For reference it's this case. it's cheap, but I like it because it's decent quality and THE MAGNETS ARE ALL STRONG ENOUGH for the stand function.
and I guess that's the problem here!
the loud whine is only audible when I hold it in portrait mode and have the lid folded back against the back of the iPad.
the lid contains several magnet stripes that secure the lid in place like shown in the photo even when you pick up the pad. this works really well, but I guess that's to the detriment of my problem. when folded back all the magnetically fields seem to add up and induce the coil whine in the iPad. the whine really emerges from the pad itself.

interesting!
