So we have a guy who uses the mbp as his primary machine and he's needing to do some work on Windows 8.
We installed win 8 with bootcamp and used the windows 7 bootcamp drivers mostly without issues, I.E. it's ok that the volume adjustment graphic doesn't show etc.
What's not ok and so far we have no solution for is the auto-brightness adjustment. It is constantly adjusting brightness (like when you lean closer to the screen) and overall even at maximum brightness the screen is a bit dim.
We have discovered that you can solve it short term by removing the driver in device manager (there is no disable option). The problem is that the fix doesn't survive a reboot and windows reloads the driver and you are back to dim screens.
Anybody know of a way to permanently disable it? And yes I know that bootcamp has not been officially updated to support Win8 yet
