Hello everyone

I, regrettably, undertook to change the screen for a Macbook 13" unibody a1278 and it's been nothing but a complete nightmare ever since.

Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and whilst I've managed to get everything up and working again, the latest things to happen are the keyboard suddenly deciding to play up and now no power.

The keyboard decided to stop functioning for the 1,q, a, z and back space keys and so to secure the keyboard cable I reseated it and a few other connectors to be sure all were correctly seated. I took extreme care over disconnecting and reconnecting..battery and power out etc and then it was just dead... no power from battery, no power from mains...just dead as a dodo, even though green power light showing power was getting to the device.

The repair of this machine has gone from bad to worse at every turn and it's costing me a fortune.

Is there anything that could be causing the power to fail that I need to know about ? I've followed the instructions from iFixIt very carefully but even after undoing everything and redoing it all, still no power.

The battery power connector can go into the socket either way so not sure which is the correct way.

Any and all help hugely appreciated
