Hi
I have a base 2009 13" MacBook Pro and I am looking to upgrade it to a 128GB SSD.
I need some advice should I do this or buy the top or bottom 13" MacBook Air.

I plan on using the laptop for
Computer science e.g programming, dual boot with windows
Gaming

Will I see a performance boost over my 09 MacBook pro both in processing and graphically?

Many thanks

You will definitely have better performance both graphically and in processing. The new i5s and i7s are much, much faster than the Core 2 Duos. Either the low end or high end air would be good for you.

Also can any one reccomend what would be better 2012 13"/15" MacBook pro or 13" MacBook air?

The Pros are always higher spec'd than the Airs, so in terms of specs the MBP will be better. Which is better overall for you depends on your preferences. Bear in mind that there are no specs of the 2012 MBA/MBP available at the moment.

Yeah thanks, I may be best to wait a few months especially due to the rumours of a complete MacBook pro overhaul
